We define long-term care for cats as providing a high-quality, home for your cats. It goes beyond boarding -- because just about anyone can put cats in a cage, hang out a sign, go about their business as usual and call it cat boarding. Fortunately, that's not us. We feel there needs to be more -- much more, for your cat's sake and for your peace of mind -- and we are a CAGE-FREE cat boarding facility. Our feline guests have their very own rooms. The total concept of long-term care for cats must be developed from the ground up. The design of the building, the daily care plan, the local veterinary care and the depth of the caregiver's experience... it goes to the very heart of what The Sunshine Home at This Old Cat does for the cats that share our lives. We truly offer affordable luxury for you and your cats.

Long-term care may be permanent (such as lifetime care should you become incapacitated and no longer able provide care for the cat) or hospice (such as terminal feline cancer). Long-term care may also be temporary (such as long-term boarding while you travel) or for rehabilitation (such as the cat recovering from major surgery or requiring behavior modification). YOU are the one that sets the parameters for your cat's care.
